Red & White Italian Tablecloths

THE HEIGHT OF THE MINE

With a little advance I'll make a jeudiconfession #: U2's concert at the Stade de France, I was . Go ahead and remove me from your friends, unfollow me or unsubscribe from this blog, I assume, I'm ready.

For those who are intrigued, here is the how and why: my "sister" Chile is visiting Paris and I suggested we go to said concert to-eye, through a friend of hers working on 360 of the tour Bono. Making bad fortune, good heart, we comfort in thinking of the 1 st part: Interpol. It will also provide an opportunity to test if I am coming to the end of my agoraphobia.

After a nap in the sun along the canal Saint-Martin we decide to take the RER D direction: the Seine-Saint-Denis, based Popopop . As might be expected once there is far from being alone. It therefore follows obediently the crowd toward the stage, while on the side coaches from all over France are stationed and that the other vendors are leading calls to our stomachs with greasy smell that emanates from their stands. Ten minutes later, we pass security without incident and we moved to our seats in the stands. Opposite us, a scene round (round 360, logic) that most resembles a spider. Many people around us who have gone through the merch ', before the concert, proudly wearing their tshirt U2 360, we do not judge ...

Stade de France

At 19 h 15 on the dot, the New York arrive on stage without warning. Paul Banks hid behind his sunglasses and a leather jacket does not seem very comfortable with the crowd filling the stadium. Heavy notes resonate, the first of the "Success". So I listened to write my articles last month, it actually takes me guts. I see myself in the living room of my cousin, smoking fags fags on the dark horizon with only the lights of the Montparnasse tower and the white page does decidedly not fill alone.

Interpol @ Stade de France

The public clearly has nothing to do with Interpol, meanwhile, practically drooling at the net corner of the lips that Bono and his gang arrive. No worries, it (my Chilean friend & myself) has decided to give everything for our little protected. "Say Hello To The Angels", more catchy, like more to the crowd begins to pay greater attention to the group. This is the moment chosen by the friend who we took our places, to come give us wristbands to access the (RED) Zone is to say, be in the 1st row but in an area apart from the pit. We run not to miss a beat of a short era but already some riffs from the classic "Slow Hands" begins. Once in the (RED) Zone is really unleashed a sudden hair and wriggling in any other kind. We look a little weird but who cares, we must take advantage of the group that brought us so far. A new notes will sound dull, it's "Lights", 1 st single from the new album ahead. It is cold, addictive, mesmerizing like the voice of Paul Banks. The only regret is that he makes too day to fully appreciate the chilling atmosphere of this song. Then comes the turn of "Obstacle 1" and "Evil Play", the crowd around us moves increasingly (Relatively speaking, of course, it waddles hair what). Interpol continues to pick the side with the new album "Barricade" but with "Heinrich Maneuver" that the public is finally acquired their cause. The concert ends with "C'mere" and the dark "Not Even Jail". My throat is already beginning to give up the ghost, that's good I did not intend to m'égosiller Bono & Sisters.

Interpol @ Stade de France

Not being a fan of the first hour, was the first time I saw Interpol on stage but I can assure you that it are particularly drawn to a concert of this size and an audience so little listening. In terms of sociological analysis of the U2 concert you wait until the next item ...

Whem Travelling On Rural Roadways

WHAT'S UP NEXT?

I write, I publish, I delete, I write, I publish, I delete ... I've made a nice post about my passion for school but it was too intimate, too much of me and this blog is not for that, not like that anyway. So I'm going to fart in me telling you my four days in Corsica.

bedridden by illness, I received an email from my editorial head asking me if I want to go on press trip to Porto Vecchio. Neither agree nor two, without even knowing what it is. I learn later that it was to cover the Porto Vecchio Festival. A look at the prog 'and I yawn in advance (Make The Girl Dance, Pony Pony Run Run, Frederic Beigbeder, Pierre Souchon good ...), but we will not spit on four days of vacation offered, eh.

Arrival Thursday afternoon in Ajaccio, I retrieve my luggage scanning resembling those of journalists to find out how to get to Porto Vecchio. A young girl with glasses heart shaped me: "You're a journalist?" Taking flag 'I nodding, "you know if someone has to pick us up?" she continues. I rarely concern technical details, I confess my ignorance. From a confident tone she added: "those three, because of their style, should also be the press trip, we will wait 5 minutes and see if anyone starts to panic." Finally a man came to our little group, we say that the van taking us to the festival arrived. On board the tongues are loosened, the girl with glasses is a reporter for heart Dazed & Confused, the blonde for IT , brown DJette, the guy DJette accompanies, and is incidentally party organizer. After two hours we arrived in a sumptuous villa, poetically named "The Tank".

I'll spare you the details of his four days because other than tell you that my rate of alcohol was proportional to the sonic stew imposed (up to the hand set and those of Tekilatex Elegangz) I n 't have much to tell. We will place all the same these days as the hashtags # WTF moments as improbable unfolded. Beigbeder of the kitchen desperately searching his laptop ...-, Tekilatex with the conversation where we will realize that his little sister is none other than my best friend from primary through accident scoot '(nothing serious) because of the sand, a declaration of friendship with a girl he met hallucinating last night or go in search of cows at 4 am ... Hard

back to reality after the mini-vacation, not at all relaxing, but not the time to think, it's already my last loop and I put my life in order to me.

Report sauerkraut zero but what better than a return to the classics to face an uncertain future? So I suggest you rediscover "For Today I'm A Boy", the song that best defines me right now and a little bonus: "Flett" in order to prepare you for the great return of this beloved Antony. Finally, zonant on myspace a loved (after discovering a live DVD and a book of photos were released in November) I found a wonderful recovery Smiths, how do you explain my emotion?

When You Are 20 Weeks Pregnant Ho

I NEED YOU TO BE MY NEW PROBLEM

Foals @ Rock En Seine 2010

Getting sick on three days' Rock En Seine , that's what I've found better to do, self-sabotage my love. To co urones all, the D-Day family reasons prevent me from attending the concert Kele (singer of Bloc Party ), absolute sadness. Especially it would be back "Blue Light", but go ahead nan Finish me now, huh. I console myself somehow with a beer in front Foals , which will prove more convincing than the Route du Rock . And rain on "English Sahara" (perfect combination), will only confirm this impression. Time to cross a half-dozen heads is known and the Kooks who advance on the average stage. If Luke Pritchard has gained weight and tantalizes less girls than in the past, the songs "Ooh La", "Shine On" or "She Moves In Her Own Way" are a pleasure to hear such old memories., can not be said of the new tracks (more forcefully blues piano, yawn ... For the street cred one is going "Jump Around" with Cypress Hill on the big stage. See tou (te) s these twink (losses) Paris (ne) s is to act ghetto slowly made me laugh (although I am quite aware that I am equally ridiculous tékaté ).

BRMC @ Rock En Seine 2010

Come time THE headliner of the evening (since I missed Kele, remember ): Black Rebel Motorcycle Club . Having feared the cancellation (the singer's father had died the weekend) it was with relief that we learned of the arrival of the group in St. Cloud area. The trio emerged from the shadows, all hoods out and offers us an hour of dark rock, heavy and hoarse. Loved heart for "Is not No Easy Way" and the final "Spread Your Love". Despite a good concert, it lacks a je ne sais quoi that I am completely packed. We put that on account of lack of atmosphere. Then comes the moment emo-LOL of the night with Blink 182 . We prefer to admire all that lying in the grass, I return to adolescence on "All The Small Things" but otherwise it was long and boring. And I vazy launches Flowers Cypress Hill and I will place Chateaubriand and vagina in the same sentence (it would be a logical relation to a poem by the poet said, according to a close, a fan of the group). I try to get back into the atmosphere with Underworld , but definitely the 90 is really not my cam. We go a little disappointed with this one era ½ day shade, hoping to catch the next day.

Quadricolor @ Rock En Seine 2010

On 2 nd day of RES opens with a cloudless sky and the concert of young Quadricolor . Known for their times, they will make us a very nice cover of "Pen" by Gorillaz . Despite a concert very short (less than an hour) I would have shaken my hair is all smiles and I'm re-listening Two Door Cinema Club . I do not know if it's because it's the 3 rd consecutive time I see them or if it is because of dissipated Silenthype and Anh Phi but I did not really hung. It clean, square it, too much for me that day. Also, we queue for a beer lying in the grass, the sun caressing the skin and Paolo Nutini ban in sound. Aside from the recovery of fine folk not "Time to Pretend" from M GMT ( WTF?) And "Jenny Do not Be Hasty" in the end, this concert was quite boring. But never mind that it's time to be mesmerized by Jon if . When the manager comes on stage and not our favorite Icelandic feared the worst (remember Amy Winehouse and Oasis anyone?).

Jonsi @ Rock En Seine 2010

He tells us that electronic equipment has remained in Portugal but still Jonsi will play with the means at hand. And an acoustic one! I'm ecstatic. Without electronic arrangement, one can not help but think of Sigur Ross (group which resulted Jonsi , ed ) but what we particularly note that this fragility own acoustics. At any time if the chemistry between the fine crystalline voice and the instruments that accompany it can break, I am puzzled. After this moment of grace, the place of mastodons Queens Of The Stone Age . Group that everyone loves, without really knowing why or how, because it feels good. Sincerely, live, four pieces me enough to tell me that I would rather go and drink at the bar "VIP" ( CIMER the press pass).

LCD Soundsystem @ Rock En Seine 2010

Personally, I like the group without asking any question is LCD Soundsystem, and it falls well it is for them to invest the average scene. If the concert is not the height of folly Bataclan or Eurockéennes , we forget all through the final "New York I Love You" combined with "Empire State of Mind" ( faith in the triangle, you will ). It is bright eyes that I am back with my emotions, a little further, quiet. Once upright, I sulk Massive Attack I've already typed the 2 times this summer, thank you for Jello-Biaffra (Leader of are ex-Dead Kennedy s). Much good has taken me, the concert is great, it shakes our wigs as ever in the public arena of the Industry. Perfect warm-up for the set of excited 2 Many DJs .

2 Many Dj's @ Rock En Seine 2010

The crowd is dense and our gentlemen Belgian count well satisfa ire by not remixing as tubes (forcefully panels): Justice, Phoenix, LCD etc.. not forgetting the magnificent final out of nowhere: "Love Will Tear Us Apart" by Joy Division . And on that note excited that the second RES day ends, like an electric battery I can go at once to me, suddenly I'm off to the after. eventful evening if any, but at which I taught the art of cat's eyes, which earned me a T shirt .

few short hours of sleep later, accompanied by a slight headache, is already the last day of the 8 th edition of Rock In the Seine. I'm active as well as possible to attend in concert Temper Trap . Once done I let myself gently rocked since then it's time for the slap came from the west with the cowboys of Black Angels. Planned well early (16h), their set is much more than the psyche Route du Rock , it's hard to get completely into it, despite their show, perfect. Given the proximity between the average and the little scene we went to discover the second I Am A Dog . They laughed good heart for this dude he wants a rock star, shaken our hair, hands in the air even though its level was not really that. Nothing to do with Beirut, although I admit I was a bit scared to see them perform on the big stage .

Beirut @ Rock En Seine 2010

And if, in ef fect , I confirm that the average would be ample enough, this concert was a moment of intense joy. Between the opening of "Nantes" or pretty "Cherbourg", it does not take much for that I found quite. And I was far to be the only one to believe the rounds around me and the balloons launched. Then it's time dilemmas Waves Machine or Ting Tings (to ensure good seats for the last show of the evening)? We opt for the second decision (against my will) and despite the antiquated-of-pipe "Shut Up And Let Me Go" or "That's Not My Name" is heavy. It does not, it does more. And it's not bad sound settings that will fix everything. Joking aside it's time to Arcade Fire, my heart is already beating racing.

Arcade Fire @ Rock En Seine 2010

I'm not going to make an issue patacaisse, just know that from the first notes of "Ready To Start "I went into a trance at the forefront of the assault, my t shirt still remembers. What about on bellowing "Rococo" by Zach Condon as a guest on "Ocean Of Noise", the rain God to 'We Used To Wait "which turns into a flood, forcing the group to stop. And despite the envy of the group continue to play, Regine who said they never return to that one, but oh so beautiful song, "Wake Up" acoustic bonus. So yes, the concert was cut short, but you can not understand this moment of grace that if you also have expected, desperate for minutes that seemed endless, soaked to the bone, you've beat you to égosillés vote until they return, as in a dream.
